The past 3 to 5 September, the Latin American Carbon Forum, an event sponsored by The Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development MADS, and CAF was held in Bogotá, with the support of major institutions and Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), the United Nations Program for Environment (UNEP) and UNEP DTU, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Secretariat of the Framework Convention of the United Nations Climate Change (UNFCCC), the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP) and CAF Development Bank of Latin America.
This event, which sought to create spaces for meeting between the players in the field of climate change mitigation and carbon, led to opportunities for discussion on carbon markets, exchange of experiences, developments in emissions trading schemes, low emissions development carbon and the future of the carbon market.
